A stylish butter dish

Can you find me one? They all seem a bit clunky and easily chipped.

Green is my kitchen colourway.

I have one which is basically a piece of slate with a lovely glass lid.

I have several but this is my favourite.

I have that one too, Baroness - very cheap, so I feared it wouldn't be as nice in the flesh, but it's lovely.

I like a dish that the butter sits in, rather than on, as otherwise DS and DH would just keep putting the lid down onto the butter and making a mess. So this was perfect. It's dishwasher safe, and keeps the butter cool enough that it can stay out of the fridge all year round. And yes, it's cheap.

Ah, you're already lost then, OP. I have just had two of my three roasters/oven dishes crack really badly. I think it must be related to the freezing weather temperatures here recently as they haven't been abused. I've carried on using them with a foil lining but it's a faff, wasteful and the foil tears sometimes during stirring. I just can't seem to let them go - they're a bit like faithful old friends and full of family memories. what a ridiculous thought, grieving for ovenware
