morning all

Still grumpy

Had a v bad night with DS, he decided it was morning at 3.30am , then was wide awake for an hour

So I am feeling rubbish as well as fed up with my lack of household equipment. I am going to pop over to my neighbours at the weekend and do some washing, so all is not completely lost, but very frustrating as I was in a really good routine washing every day and keeping right on top of it all.

Behind with all my routine this morning, but you will all be pleased to hear I have made an appointment to see the doctor this morning about my anaemia, hoorah!

Shannaratiger · 25/10/2007 09:31

Flowery what a disaster!! It will be so great when it's fixed though ... how did previous generations manage without these things we rely on so much???

We have a friend staying tonight so have done several loads of washing up, cleaned kitchen floor, tidied living room, put recycling out, washed ds's high chair (also a Tripp Trapp - love it but it does mean the table gets dirty!), washed and dried towels, coloureds and nappies (just finishing now), tidied bathroom, plus more needed to do today to make house presentable. Dp tidied up spare room (normally his 'boys room' with computers, music etc so it takes a while to transform!). Lots done and feel a bit knocked out, but it does mean I'm up to date FLYing-wise! Fortunately (??) I have a streaming cold, the benefit of which is that my nausea has eased off somewhat, perhaps because I can't smell anything, so am feeling more able to do things at the moment. Don't want it to ease off completely, then I'd worry, but this level is manageable...

mylastrolo · 25/10/2007 12:21

Shannaratiger · 25/10/2007 15:17

hi everyone
i really want to sort the wardrobe out this week. has anyone any suggestions on boot and shoe storage- i can't see the bottom of the wardrobe

mrsmerton · 25/10/2007 15:26

Hi you Flyers. Can I ask you how you find keeping on top of all the missions? I tried it for a couple of weeks. I found I had such a huge list of things to do every day, on top of everything else, I jacked it in.

I was feeling stressed out rather than my life made easier.

Yes, some of the tips were great, like 15min jobs, and washing up bowl under the sink (still doing that one) But I have blocked the emails now. Couldn't bear all the testamonials.

Can anyone else tell me how it works for them?

Shannaratiger · 25/10/2007 15:41

mrsmerton i'm only on day 16 but i make sure i keep the sink shined. i try to do the missions etc. but if i don't i just carry on trying for tomorrow, nobody else will know.

mrsmerton · 25/10/2007 15:43

Yes, the sink shining is revolutionary, I'll give you that. What the regime doesn't seem to credit us with is any free time for exercise, shopping etc. Or have I misunderstood?

flowerybeanbag · 25/10/2007 15:53

Washing up done in absence of dishwasher
Kitchen surfaces done
15 minutes declutter done in utility room

Not much else. Can't do mission due to lack of access to main bedroom but I've done babystep and also identified dinner, which I somehow usually forget.

Went to docs this morning, I have to go for a full blood count to see if I am still anaemic, doc thinks I am looking at my eyes..

DS weighed at clinic this morning, he's 18lb8.5oz.

MrsM what I do is if I have other stuff on and don't have time, I do my basic routine but scrap mission and 15 minutes, it's not the end of the world. At the very least, I keep on top of the kitchen.

hope everyone's having a good day

ally90 · 25/10/2007 16:03

I love this thread! I do lists too...

But ummm...not done much but mn today!

Have cleared table of breakfast and lunch stuff...now got to get in dishwasher.

Cleaned cloakroom sink

And yes...tea...better work out which veg is not mush as yet and roast it...

Shannaratiger · 25/10/2007 16:21

Have just found out that having thrown ds bouncy chair out can now fit 1 toy box under the cot

Bienchen · 25/10/2007 18:45

Tiger - re shoes... we have a small IKEA shoe rack in the hall. I limit everyone to two pairs of shoes on it, so there is still space for a guest or two.

Also, proper shoecupboard in dining room (but looks like a proper piece of furniture and no whiffy shoes). Wellies and walking boots on shelves in walk in cupboard under stairs.

I have most of mine in boxes under bed and in small cupboard in bedroom.

Not ideal, but reasonably tidy!
