Bienchen · 24/10/2007 07:15

Bonjour,

we are back since Monday night but little FLYing yesterday.

Am v excited as have interview next Tuesday! It is DP's day off, so I don't even have to find someone to mind DD!

Trying to get back into it today and so far so good. I think I've been slipping a bit with control journal. What are you all doing?I just have my list that I adapt on daily basis and wondered whether this would do...

So here I go:
Morning
Dress and make up/hair done
Air rooms done
Breakfast for baby and DS and clear away breakfast stuff
empty dishwasher done
Empty washing machine and load tumble dryer done
hang up washing
2 minute hotspot (put dry clothes away) done
Make beds
Read control journal and reminders
5 minute room rescue (hang up washing)
grocery shop
Kelly's mission (tidy and clean bedside table as I have already done clothes pile)
What's for tea? (jacket potatoes, salad, tuna) done Afternoon/evening
Day out with DC and friends
15 minute decluttering (our bedroom)
15 minutes for me ([aint toenails)
Cook tea
Load dishwasher
Load washing machine
Check calendar for tomorrow
Pamper mission (sort out bras? will have to think of something else as that was my mission last week!)

Bedtime
Put dishwasher on
Put washing machine on
Rubbish out
Shine sink
Put clothes out for tomorrow
2 min hotspot (paperwork/cancel existing home insurance as taken out new policy)

I'm back

Bienchen your list looks perfect and well done on getting interview.

I am working on my CJ, think i might be jumping ahead on my babysteps, but nevermind it really helps me realise what i am actually doing!

Tried to explain FLYing to dp again this morning, he still doesn't get it.

Classic quote from this morning:

" Will u dust the TV this morning, i was going to do it yesterday but i wasn't sure what to use and didn't want to blow the tv up."

I blame his mother

Had better go and get my morning routine finished, back later.

Bienchen · 24/10/2007 07:59

Tiger, I think you are right about DP. Dp has three siblings and their mother delegated everything. So he could cook clean iron by the age of twelve! Sounds a bit like slavery tome but incredibly useful now! And he was in the RAF, so can iron and make a bed better than me....

They can be trained but it takes determination

flowerybeanbag · 24/10/2007 08:40

morning all

BC hope you had a fab weekend and best of luck for interview

Shannara rofl at DP worrying about blowing the telly up if he dusts it

Cinders in answer to the question on the end of yesterday's thread, DS is in his new Stokke Tripp Trapp as of Monday, very exciting. He is still only on formula so I feed him in the armchair but yes I will be able to sit him in it while having some decent breakfast - he seems to have taken to it well, and because it's not got a tray it means he can sit at the table with me which is lovely.

Dressed to shoes and make up done
Dishwasher - not done, seems to be broken as it didn't work last night and all sorts of lights were flashing this morning, so I've switched it off and on again (tried and tested technique for all electrical equipment) and tried it again, fingers crossed. We have a new kitchen being fitted in a couple of weeks, not before time - two drawer fronts have fallen off this week depositing their contents on the floor, and now the dishwasher seems to have packed up.
Sink SHiny done
Kitchen surfaces done
Hotspot done
5 minute room rescue in utility room - will do in a minute.

Mission - bedroom is still off limits due to plumber so I can't do the bedside tables yet, will find something else to do. And pamper mission, I've already sorted all my post-DS underwear out, and bought myself some nice sets so that's all done as well.

15 minutes this afternoon will be ironing.

Catch up later

Shannaratiger · 24/10/2007 10:18

Hello again

Have finished morning routine
Have also decluttered bedside table and me & dd have dusted bedroom, tv & computer.

Am now having a well earned cup of tea, this 15 mins nonguilty break is really nice.

mylastrolo · 24/10/2007 10:52

bienchen your list is so impressive!! My d/h is in raf his most annoying habit is hanging towels over the door . Great at ironing his shirts i might add !!

am routine:

up showered dressed to shoes
aired rooms
breakfast for girls
girls dressed (great having no school to rush to)
s&s bathroom

to do:
kitchen
ironing
shine sink
clean under taps in bathroom yuk!! noticed whilst talking on phone the other day sat on bath
off to library before 12.00
put big bag of clutter to charity shop!!!
dusting tv tiger he is joking !!

Bienchen · 24/10/2007 19:26

Mostly done but again, mission not done, nor decluttering.

DP is applying for some funding for his studies so we are both trawling over the forms...

There's also a pile of ironing that's glaring at me but I'm knackered ...

Where are the other FLYbabies? Is half term week getting in the way of flying?

flowerybeanbag · 24/10/2007 19:29

My dishwasher and washing machine are both broken. How am I going to FLY now?

Dishwasher is dead but will be replaced anyway when we get our new kitchen in a month

Washing machine man can't come til next Wednesday. WTF?! Do they not realise I have a 5 month old baby?!

Hi BC. I am guessing everyone is away enjoying themselves or something. I am grumpy.

Thursday thread [[http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/2430/411851?rnd=1193255919698 here]

Not been FLYing much. DH home ill. Need I say more?

Well done ladies on getting so much done.

So for you Flowery. Hope you have family/friends nearby who can do washing for you! When my machine died, I had to take washing to my mums. An hour there and an hour back, but at least I had a meal there and DS had time with his grandparents. The nearest launderette was 30mins away, so rather than sitting around, the extra drive was worth it!
