Mission done (although there are another couple of loads to go)

DD2 has had a bath The water heater works fine now...and her breakfast is now out of her hair!

I have tidied my bedroom up in the process of putting all the clothes away, and I've hoovered downstairs.
Upstairs can wait...I only did it yesterday when I did the kids rooms.

I have cleaned the guinea piggles out too, and I've just found out they can eat water melons! I read somewhere that you shouldn't feed them "watery" veggies, such as lettuce, as it gives them digestive problems...(lettuce gives them the trots apparently) Then I was a bit worried as I feed mine cucumber...and they LOVE it!however, its quite watery isn't it...but I had a free Guinea Pig book with the cage, and it has a picture in there of 2 guinea's munching on a great big slice of watermelon...can't get much more "watery" than that can you!!
So no idea what is right and whatis wrong! I think I'll avoid the lettuce and stick with the cucumber...and maybe try some melon!

(sorry...don't mean to bore the pants off you non guinea owners ....but get me going and I can't shut up about them!)

Well done Luda You've had a busy day again today.

I've done very little, just the basics really - I hadn't even opened the link to the mission till just now
Dh has just got home so I'm supposed to be sorting the bedrooms quickly ready for bedtime...typically I've ended up on here though!

We have nothing planned for tomorrow just yet so I hope to have a bit of a blitz about the house and maybe get the kids involved too
Right, better crack on, not long till the kids will be in bed and I can have a sit down, I'm tired again this evening.

Evening all

Luda how do you manage???

All done today - yipee, every box ticked. First time ever.

No flying for me tomorrow as I am having a day out with the mini's and my mum. we are going to see my aunt who has the cancer in newcastle. Her daughters have their blood tests this week and I think my mum is next. If she is positive then I will have the test, as it is the BRAC2 gene, which covers ovarian, breat, lung, bowel and testicular cancer - so for the mini's sake if mum is positive then I will be tested and get them tested too. Decision made and it is a weight off my mind

I'm glad you've come to a decision re the tests, MSH. If your mum is negative does that mean you and the dc are also in the clear?

Luda - Why isn't your landlord paying for this stuff to be done Surely that is one of the benefits of renting.

Hoovers/ Dyson - mine is a Henry, and has never broken, despite dp using it to hoover up rubble on a regular basis. I'd definitely recommend them if/when you need new ones.

Thanks for the email Bianca I'll reply properly tomorrow.

I listened to your music links. The video on the second one is quite freaky, but not my kind of music really.

TheMadScaryHouse · 23/10/2007 21:01

Jas if mum is clear the I am clear - so fingers crossed

Regarding the floor cleaner I am hoping we can save up and get one in the Jan sales, but we will see. I am managing at the mo

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 23/10/2007 21:12

Glad you're sorted with the tests madhouse. Scary as it is you're better knowing. Fingers crossed your mum is clear.
