Mission

OP posts:
Jas · 22/10/2007 06:56

Good morning all

Well done on all that iroing Simply. Did you get any doneTMSH?
Thanks for the info, too Simply. It is great in theory, but my friend is a singe parent, with a full time job, and no local family I don't live close enough to be much help either.

So does anyone know where dps work boots are? We could only find one this morning, and he has had to go to work in trainer. I need to find them fo tomorrow really. I've no idea how anyone could lose a huge steel toe capped boot in this house but I can't find it anywhere.

OP posts:
Jas · 22/10/2007 07:02

I've just found it. In the maggot infested wheelie bin.

At least I looked now. It is due to be emptied today.

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 22/10/2007 07:20

indeed Jas! Glad you found the boot though - how did it end up in the bin?!

Thanks for the thread this morning I need to do this mission as lots of bits and pieces were shoved out of (MiLs) sight into our bedroom on Friday before PiL arrived. They'll need to be re-scattered about the house again today.

I had a lovely weekend away with dh Lots of bridges in the relationship were rebuilt

Back to normal today though. And it's half-term here so I'll need to entertain the kids all day. It's still dark so I'm not sure what the weather will be like but I hope to get them out and about on a walk/bike ride at some point. We don't have very much planned for the week, a couple of play dates but that's all.

Simply I didn't know you'd had ME. I'm thankful you've made a good recovery, we have a friend with it, such a horrible condition.

I did skim through the weekends thread, but can't remember it all now it's not here for me to scroll through
Hope you're all well Have a good day x

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 22/10/2007 08:10

Morning Guys,

So will do my best today.

? Morning routine

  3. Put a wash load in
  4. Empty dishwasher
  5. Feed cat & fish
  6. Check calendar
  7. DRINK SOME WATER
  8. Clear away breakfast things
  9. Think about what you want for dinner - take out meat if necessary.
  10. 2 minute hotspot
  11. 5 minute room rescue

? Monday - Home blessing
Purge magazines
Water Plants
Polish Mirrors
Vacuum downstairs & Dust

TheMadScaryHouse · 22/10/2007 09:03

Morning all

Jas Thanks for the thread and I am glad you found the boot.

Bianca A weekend away sounds ideal

Funcky I hope DD2 is OK and not too unwell today

Simply Ironing - Pah, can you guess I managed none - I actually snuggled up with DH and watched some greys annatomy we had recorded, which was lovley .

So I HAVE to iron at lunchtime when the boys are in bed.

Mission is very timely as we are getting some new (to us) bedroom furniture soon.

ludaghoul · 22/10/2007 09:13

Morning All

Bianca glad you had a good weekend

Jas...YUK! how did it get in there?

FGS awww I hope she is ok today....I hate the post jab illnesses....you are never really quite sure how they will be are you.

Well busy day today...
Have welsh lesson,
Have kids bedrooms to tidy...dh decided to do an entire toy cull..and get some stuff to put on Ebay, all ready for xmas. (Ruby...he is on your wave length!)
It has spurred me to move some bits and bobs around.
Tidy the house....I just don't seem to be able to get on top of it at the moment...no matter how much I tidy it seems to look exactly the same all the time!

I'm assuming ds put it in the kitchen bin on Saturday (it was at the bottom of the bag i put out last night)

We're going out for the day, so no FLYing here. See you all later.

OP posts:
FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 22/10/2007 09:43

yaddah - the thing I found best for cradlecap was a fine tooth comb used every day. It just comes out. Iceland will be cool!

yaddayah · 22/10/2007 09:53

aahh penny drops - ds is allergic to combing his hair
Iceland is for our 10th Wedding Anniversary.. can't wait !!

bianca glad you had a good weekend
fgs dd had jabs last weekend (mmr booster and all the other stuff) She spent the next day lying on the sofa but is right as rain now .. hopefully its a 24 hr thing
jas yeuch I would have left it in there!
ruby very impressed with your Christmas organisation !
luda am with you on the no difference tidy house

Right have really got to get a move on !

Kick me if you see me on here again !

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 22/10/2007 10:05

yaddah - she's been off colour since the jabs really. see here

today she has a temp and her cheeks are bright red. I would have thought slapped cheek if it wasnt for the injections recently.

ludaghoul · 22/10/2007 11:01

Oh Crapola!

I'm having one of those...."Oh god what have I done?" moments.

Both the kids bedrooms now look like a big toy/crap bomb has exploded in them.
DD1's bed is half way jammed across her room as I have now got it stuck and will probably have to leave it as it looks like it will need DH to lift it right up in the air to get it round

DS and DD2's room is completely crammed with pretty much EVERYTHING, including DD1's wardrobe which I can't get into DD1's room because the bed is in the way.

I'm very hot and bothered trying to move the beds, a wardrobe, a big set of drawers and a small set of drawers (contents of which are covering DD2's bed)

Ooops!

DH will be SOOOOOOOO Impressed when he comes home! (NOT)

spookybatoscar · 22/10/2007 11:03

yaddayah · 22/10/2007 11:16

ooh crikey .. poor you/dd

DS (nearly six .. despite cradlecap!) had his done at the same time .. had a mix up when he was meant to have them done and he ended up just having his HIB booster) he's been absolutly fine .. just goes to show it affects dc's all differently.. sorry for waffle hope she's better soon .. FWIW from what you've said I don't think her reactions are abnormal (although obviously there're horrible .. gawd I'll just shut up now shall I ??

tibni · 22/10/2007 11:30

Morning, determined to get some flying done today. Master bed certainly needs sorting but as I have visitors coming cloakroom more urgent!

I seem to do well over week but after weekend! well im sure you understand!

DS (ASD) has already managed to smash a milk bottle (accident) and a plate (not so sure an accident although he shocked himself) this morning so it looks like i'm in for a smashing half term!

EvilHM · 22/10/2007 15:12

quick to you all & your lo's. Been busy cleaning kitchen & living room today. Also ordered on line 3 December Birthday presents & a joint Xmas Present for my Sil&Bil. Bought 4 xmas presents yesterday in Toys R Us.
Right must dash big pile of ironing to do Not around much this week, I will try & pop in when I can. x,x,x,x

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 22/10/2007 15:16

Hi, I've done none of my blessing but I did hoover and dust upstairs and I've also prepared potatoes and veg for Dds dinner and also mine & DHs. We are having our Sunday dinner tonight Then I realised the joint of beef had left blood all over the bottom of the fridge so I've had to clean that.

DD2 on her 3rd nap of the day and DD1 just woke up from 2 hour nap -

ludaghoul · 22/10/2007 17:10

Well, it has taken me all blinkin day, but the kids rooms look lovely
Every knook and cranny...and shelf, and drawer and under beds has been sorted, cleaned and de cluttered!!! DD1 was over the moon to see her room when she came home (I managed to move her bed on my own in the end)

Just the rest of the house to go!

BiancaCastafiore · 22/10/2007 17:28

Well done Luda Sounds as though you've done a lovely job

Hope your dd is OK FGS

Iceland sounds great Yadda

I've ended up having a busy day with a quick walk to the library turning into a mamouth play at the park (3 hours brrr, it was cold!) and then dd has had a friend to play this afternoon which has been fun but lively! We're all pretty tired now.

I did manage to run the hoover round downstairs this morning and do one load of washing but haven't managed anything else - it's even shop-bought pizza for supper, very lazy.

Dd is going to play with a friend tomorrow and ds has a friend coming here so I hope to get the chance to do some more FLYing but don't hold out much hope, it always goes a bit wrong in the school holidays.

Have a good evening everyone

yaddayah · 22/10/2007 18:42

Busy busy busy

(bianca.. dc's have had chicken soup and toast for there dinner tonight )

Took ages to get into town (2 buses didn't turn up meaning we were waiting over an hour.. then it was 45 mins late on the return journey .. ) Ds now looks "super cool" with his new haircut, didn't get any new clothes as have decided we can get away with what we've got plus extra jumpers (i'm sure if need be they've got shops in Iceland ??? )

Now have a ton of ironing to do, ended up doing a 5 min hot spot on ds's room .. not a patch on your effort luda

Better get on before the evening slump occurs (need to get dc's to bed as well )

Hope you've all had good days
Yad x

BiancaCastafiore · 22/10/2007 19:16

Ohhh chicken soup and toast yadda that's just what I could fancy tonight (I'll go and rumage in the cupboard in a mo)

Ds is in bed and almost asleep, dd is ready for bed but having an extended play in her bedroom for another 30mins.

I'm running a nice hot bath (haven't been able to get warm all day today) then plan to snuggle up on the sofa with a blanket and a hot water bottle and watch TV for an hour or so before turning in for an early night.
