Help new sofa

So I have a beautiful new sofa about a week old. Long deserved after decades with the old one.
A few nights ago, Apple pie and custard was spilt on it. Only a little bit but it's left a crusty patch.
I figured let it dry and then give it a little stiff brush, but hasn't worked. I really don't want to bugger up the sofa. What do you suggest?

What is the material? New sofas usually come with cleaning method for whatever the fabric is. Obviously also consult Google.

It's a kind of soft fleecy ribbed fabric. If only I'd kept the leaflet which came with it...
