Diesel smell

My partner had a jumper with fuel on, I put it in the wash with a load of my DSs clothes and now everything stinks of diesel! 😭 They had no time to sit and fester, the load was turned on straight away. I've washed everything 3 times now. Anyone any ideas on how to remove smell from clothing?

These all suggest the same things so worth a go. I imagine you should clean your washing machine before putting another load in too or that will all come out smelling too.
