Neff Slide n Hide oven

Hello , if you have a slide and hide oven can I ask a question.
Once you've set the oven temperature - how do you know it's reached that temperature ?
This new oven is going to be a steep learning curve ! 😂😂

Ours has a little red bar that shows progress to the temperature. Different models may do this differently though. Ours is the touch screen one.

Ours is touch screen and there's a little button you can press to see the current temperature. But it heats up so quickly I never bother....just switch it on and whack in the food!

The red light goes out when it reaches temp.

Ours sounds the same as yours, we have the Red line as well. Does it turn a solid red or can you see flowing ( for want of a better word ) ?
Does it take long to get used to it ? How does it cook cakes , sponges , roast potatoes etc ?

I’ve had two which were different. Just play around with the different settings and work out which works for you.

We have only had ours a month so I am still getting used to it but I am finding it very good.

The red bar goes all the way to the right when it is up to temperature. The meat thermometer is very useful as you can set the oven to turn off when the meat gets up to temperature. You can also get phone notifications when the food is cooked.

Thank you all for replying. We cooked our first meal in our oven , we tried Toad in the hole as our last oven could only cook a toad in the pancake !😂😂😂
It rose up lovely but caught a little bit on one side.
I'm going to try a Victoria Sponge possibly tomorrow.
