How tidy is your garage? (Make me feel better please!)

This is my garage I’m ashamed to say this is after tidying it and a tip run! I see our neighbours and it’s perfect then look at ours! Is yours tidy?

Mine is worse than yours OP.

Ours is the same op I think they naturally become dumping grounds stuff we no longer need or want ends up going to our garage we still have a few tip runs to do ourselves 😬

😂 laughing at the thought of ours, not yours. Got to fight my way in there in a bit to defrost the freezer.

Ours was knee-deep in utter chaos, then we bolted a load of IKEA Algot shelves to the wall. One weekend's work, very satisfying, total order restored. (Photo not ours, but shows what I'm talking about )

I came on to gloat as we tidied ours up a couple of weeks ago. Sadly our tidied up garage looks very like your ‘messy ‘garage.

Mine is pristine. But only because if I put anything in it there is literally no room for my car

Sometimes I tidy mine up and look at it proudly, and declare I will never let it get in a mess again. Then the next time I look it's a shit tip.
I often wonder how people without garages manage? Where does all their junk go?

We have a large garage and one half needs some serious attention - so probably worse than yours. A lot of it should really be should or taken ti charity shop / dump but easier said than done at moment.

Ours is currently really tidy as we finally got round to putting in storage racking and sorting it all out at the beginning of lockdown 1.

Mine looks like a branch of Kwik Fit. Tyres stacked up everywhere, plus 2 extra sets of wheels for my hobby car. At least it looks like a garage inside I suppose.

You can't even walk in ours - I mean, if the door didn't open outwards you wouldn't even be able to get in it

It's full of DH's crap - wood, old bike parts, old bikes, surfing gear, work tools - I pretend it's not there

Ours is pristine, I'm not allowed to use it for storage it's DH's pride and joy, he's about to level the floor, paint and seal it and paint the walls. I wish I could have a cluttered garage to hide my crap, my utility room is chaos instead!

I agree. Moving house will have to wait until I die. Let's hope I'm never forced to move.

Mine is amazing after a MN intervention a few years back when people on here helped me turn it into a home gym.

Our is really tidy, but we have hardly anything in it.

It’s literally lawnmower, some gardening stuff, garden chairs, our old dining table and normally the Christmas tree.

I do want to get some proper shelves put up as storage in the spring.

We’ve been using it to store our neighbour’s kids’ Christmas presents!
