Mission

OP posts:

for luda...I have no eperiences to pass on (un)fortunately

...I have been scuppered in my laundry plan for today.

I normally do

pinks before DTDs come out of school
Reds when they come in so jumpers are dry for Monday
Greys next so greys are dry
Whites Sat am as they are not o critical.

DD3 was sick last night at midnight so her bedding has been on a rinse cycle and is waiting in the drum to be properly washed with the whites DTDs are wearing. I don't paticularly want to remove it from machine as I doubt the rinse has removed the big chunks (sorry TMI)....So everything is all back to front and it is most annoying.

Other than that am having a lazy day today (and even then DP did that) as yesterday was sooooo hectic.

Anyway I said I would feedback on school teacher, here goes.

Mine/DTDs version

(I assumed) they finish lessons, get lunchbox go to lunch
DTD has tummy pains, tells dinnerlady/auxillary who tells her to read
dinnerlady...know she hasn't eaten
I am cross because they have sanctioned her not eating without contacting us

Teachers version

DTD goes out to play
At 12:30 they are called in for lunch
DTDs tummy hurts before collecting lunch. She is told to go and see teacher by dinnerlady
Teacher believes she has eaten and tells her to read instead of playing
Teacher decides to let her settle for 10mins before calling us.

So it was a misunderstanding. Teacher accepts responsibility and appologises

I make it clear that I am happy for teacher to assess for 10mins before calling
I am happy for teacher to coax her into eating/drinking if necessary
I was not happy they essentially gave her permission (although indirectly as a result of poor communication) not to eat/drink.

That was Tues
Weds we get a phone-call saying she has tummyache!!! Anyway she stayed there and rested for 10 mins and was fine. She had eaten as well so that was OK.

Oh and I have a £100 to spend on a night out for me and DP as a reward from work...so it looks like I will be having another night out in hte near future ...

BiancaCastafiore · 19/10/2007 15:11

£100 night out sounds good SMS Glad the lunchtime business seems to be sorted out.

Hello MLR

Luda the countdown idea is a good one. I tend to use it quite often now I think about it

PiL have arrived so I can't get the house any tidier than it is...they've gone to collect dd from school for me so I have a few minutes peace (my MiL can talk!) I just need to fold some washing then I can have a quiet cuppa before they get back.

See you all later x

Unable to get any gumption today. My get up and Go has got up and gone

Tasks Done

Breakfast
Put shopping away
make pizza dough
Make pizza sauce
Make garlic butter
Prep Garlic bread
S&S worktops
Put garbage out
Put recycling out
sweep kitchen
Vac front room
Make lunch

I feel so wretchedly feeble tbh. At least DH is home by 5:30

So how is everyone?

BiancaCastafiore · 19/10/2007 16:27

Aww, Grouchy only another hour to go before you have dp there to help, have a sit down, the jobs can wait

I just popped out for 10 minutes to the post office, leaving kids and grandparents colouring at the kitchen table and have come home to find them all sitting on the sofa eating cakes (35 minutes away from supper ) watching Midsummer Murders!! Appropriate TV for 6 and 4 year olds?

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 19/10/2007 17:13

Sorry but lol @ midsomer murders for a 4 year old ;)

ScaryMonsterStories · 19/10/2007 17:33

DTDs actually enjoyed Rachel giving birth on Friends at 4....I was preg at the time so got lots of Qs .

Not sure I know any restaurants where we could spend £100

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 19/10/2007 17:47

My DD watches Neighbours with me. The other day there was a wedding and so I got my wedding album out and showed her. She told me I was as beautiful as a princess

BiancaCastafiore · 19/10/2007 18:13

Aww FGS that's sweet

Dd and I watched Come dancing last week and I was at how many times the dancers are described as "sexy"...dd kept asking what it meant - not something I was that bothered about explaining to a six year old!

Anyway, no more FLYing for me, I'm away for the weekend so will see you all on Monday

Have a great weekend everyone

yaddayah · 19/10/2007 20:32
