Nespresso - please explain and help!

Wow - so many coffee machine choices! I don't drink it myself (I know!) but my husband loves his coffee and I think it's time he's treated to a posh machine. I was looking on the nespresso site and genuinely don't know where to start! He likes straight white coffee (Americano is it?) and cappuccino. 'Normal' size mugs. And it hot! Is anyone able to help me navigate the minefield of which machine is good! Thanks

We have one machine that does us all. Husband likes Americano with cold milk. I like cappuccino. Others like other things. We buy an assortment of pods and have a milk frother thing. Ot wasn't very expensive because we got a deal with 350 pods.

I like big mugs and hot coffee too. Sometimes I top up from the kettle.

I have a vertuo and the coffee is good, but not very hot. Plus the vertuo pods are $$$, I don't recommend it. I would get an original.
