Can I make my excuses now, just in case I don't get round to things tomorrow??

It's DS2's birthday, I'm off work and we may be going out for the day (except poor DS1 has to go to school, lol).

SuperMonkey · 19/10/2007 08:31

Morning all and thanks Cinders.

Well, he slept through even though he went to bed an hour early , although I still had 'the dream' so got up in the middle of the night to check he was in his cot and I hadn't lost him .

It's got soooooo cold here, I've got the heating on all day (worried about keeping DS warm as he rolls around on the floor, that's my excuse).

Right, on with the chores - I carpet in the bathroom though so no floor to mop, and FLYlady hasn't told me to hoover has she .

See y'all later.

TrinityRhino · 19/10/2007 08:41

morning
dropping in so you know I am trying but the only thing I am managing is my sink before bed

flowerybeanbag · 19/10/2007 09:53

morning all

Better night last night, DS awake twice after 5 but then slept til 7.15 and fed well this morning, phew.

I am doing well today so far

Sink shiny done
Bed made done
Swish and swipe done Halo
Dishwasher empty done
Kitchen surfaces done
Washing on done
Control journal checked done
Hotspot done

I also have carpet in my bathroom unfortunately. Will try and hoover later but not sure I can be bothered to lug hoover upstairs tbh Will mop floor in downstairs toilet instead it's about 2 foot square or something ridiculous. Maybe I better do the utility room as well [guilty conscience emoticon].

15 minutes today will be packing - we are off away for the weekend tonight to see a bunch of DH's relatives who haven't seen DS yet.

Have a good day all

Morning everyone

ditto unknownrebelbang

SuperMonkey glad u got a good nights sleep.

Trinity, FLYlady said shining sink is the most important so you're doing well.

have to go and declutter and bleach mould off bathroom window sill before getting dd to playschool. then go to tesco to buy food colouring and flour for bday cake!

speak to u all later

systemsaddict · 19/10/2007 10:54

Hi Trinity, I only managed sink again last night too, which means we are a SUCCESS at sink shining, yay!! So glad you're here

CindersNeedsHelp · 19/10/2007 16:20

Sincerely well done to SA and Trinity on keeping going with FLYing despite all that?s going on in your lives! Chin up and keep going! Babysteps!

I feel like superwoman today (although I haven?t packed going-away bags yet ? hmm!)

I have done my morning routine, which included a S&S and Mission II - DS room hot spot. Plus dinner is ready to go (enchiladas, just got to turn the oven on about 20 mins before we want it!), done 3 loads of laundry (one nappies and two others, all on the line and/or airers as I type), for my decluttering I cleared out both sheds (and OMG were they a mess ? took an hour).

Sorry to sound so smug, but I feel very proud of myself today.

My list says I still have to do hot spot, room rescue, mission to mop bathroom floor, my own personal weekly home blessing activities for today to dust/sweep/mop living room and sort out paperwork. But TBH if I don?t do them, I?m not worried. Don?t want to get burnt out!!! Babysteps!

All I must do is pack going away things. Oh, and I?ve done the weekend link already. Could someone re link to it tonight or tomorrow as I?ll be away?!?! Thanks.

Hope everybody else is having an OK day, and babies are sleeping!

Ooh, I need to pack, and get two lots of campkit ready for next weekend.

I've done next to nothing so far today with it being DS2's birthday, but I've got a bit of time now cos the lads are at scouts (I know, should have done the jobs first, lol, before coming on here).

SuperMonkey · 19/10/2007 19:31

I've spent nearly 3 hours today trying to get DS to nap, resulting in a grand total of 75 minutes asleep .

What's that all about then? I wouldn't mind if he wasn't tired - he was absolutely shattered but was taking fighting sleep to a ridiculous extreme. Tried absolutely everything I could think of - shushing, pick-up-put-down, dummy, feeding to sleep, rocking, sleeping next to him, sat next to his cot - but he just got so worked up. Morning nap he finally fell asleep at the boob, this afternoon I gave up after 2 hours and brought him back downstairs. Thankfully he has gone to sleep OK this evening (an hour early again).

funnypeculiar · 19/10/2007 21:18

hello all
Just checking in so you don't forget me. Didn't do my 15 mins decluttering, but everything else done today ... & clothes VERY ready for tomorrow (off to my Big Gay Wedding -leaving mini-ha-ha and little peculiar with my mum)

Won't be online probably for a week or so - off down to Devon for half term after the wedding - so look forwards to catching up with all the gossip once I'm back

Supermoney - ds did that fighting sleep thing at about that age too - and probably managed on about that amount of sleep. Both of mine get into 'downwards spirals' with their sleep - the less they sleep, the less they sleep (iykwim) - fingers crossed that mini-monkey sorts himself out soon/

systemsaddict · 19/10/2007 22:15

Sending mini-monkey sleepy vibes. My ds started sleeping worse around this age too - eventually we ended up very unwillingly doing a variant of controlled crying (which involved quite a lot of leaving him, but worked quickly) when he was a bit older than this (7 mo maybe?) as we were so end-of-tethery - and he was happier once it was sorted out. I was told that at a certain point they get to an age where they can stay awake and like to take control of it. Best of luck for a good night tonight Supermonkey!

Have a good Big Gay Wedding funnypeculiar! Happy birthday mini-rebel. Congrats Cinders and the others doing well.

Sink is about to be shined and then I'm off to bed - past my bedtime! Glad we've added swish and swipe, I find that one easy and makes a big difference.
