Iron cleaning

Hoping someone can help me. My iron plate has turned brown, I think it's from ironing Hama beads but it's not burnt on it that makes sense as nothing to scrape off. I've tried a bit of pink stuff which has helped very slightly but wondered if anyone else had any tips.

Try vinegar and a magic sponge. I experimented with a few things when I had the same problem and that was what worked best.

Rubbing with paracetamol tablets works. The iron needs to be warm. It will take quite a few tablets!

I’ve heard aspirin works but there is also some vile stuff you can order from Lakeland which is amazing
