DD was sick all over her (brand new) car seat and the back of the passenger seat on Monday. Have washed the cover, sponged down the straps and the back of the passenger seat with dettol and it still stinks. Can't bear to drive anywhere ..... any suggestions?

Apparently bicarb of soda works well if put on sick smelling carpets. Could you bung some on the car seat tonight, and vacuum off tomorrow?
Neutradol also good IMO.

We had this situation last year - the only thing that helped was getting a car valeting man to use the steam cleaner on the child seat and the car seats. Think it was about £20 for the back seat and child seat. We had to take the car to the valeting place, and the inside of the car was a bit damp for a day or two, but it definitely did the job!

We recently had cornish pasty sick on our carpet, and bicarb of soda did the job. I made up a cleaning solution with some, and gave it a good scrub, then sprinkled some on, left it to dry, then hoovered it off.

Thanks everyone. Will give bicarbonate of soda a go first and if that doesn't work will go for a car valet.
