Almat 2 in 1 gel - Help please?

I bought Aldi's 2 in 1 colour laundry gel for the first time and poured a generous dose into the drawer as I didn't like the look of the dispenser cap. Later after the machine had been on a while I realised that the instructions said NOT to use the gel in the drawer, but straight in the drum. The suds didn't rinse out by the end of the wash, so I put on a quick cycle with no detergent to try and rinse the clothes. There were still loads of suds, as if I had actually added detergent. 4 more short cycles (also without detergent added) later, there are still suds in the machine. I think the gel has stuck undissolved to the inside of the machine and is dispensing into every wash and maybe rinse cycle. Does anybody know how I can clean out all this remaining stuck detergent gel? We are thinking of 1. Hose into the drawer 2. Vinegar
Help please? X

Do a long hot wash. Remove and clean out the dispenser drawer.

hottest wash you have, maybe add a little softener to 'kill' the suds.

Or add soda crystals as they are a degreaser

Thank you both, I will try these. I also think the gel is stuck on the inside of the route that takes the water from the detergent drawer to the drum, as well as built up in the drum. So a hot wash and fabric softener are likely to clean out the drum. Do you think maybe warm water and fabric conditioner in the detergent drawer too?

Stick soda crystals in the drawer and drum

Long hot wash with prewash. Boil wash if you have one. I would try it empty a couple of times before you add anything else, but if adding anything I'd do soda crystals. Fabric conditioner is designed to cling to things (which is why the scent lasts - it coats the fibres in your clothes and stays there) so I would avoid putting that in the main drawer personally.

Also, at your own risk, you could try putting a kettle full of just boiled water down the soap dispenser. I have done this to my own machines with no ill effects, but obviously I can't speak for yours.
