Email from national grid re gas meter

Hello has anyone else had an email saying that the gas meter needs changing from [email protected] nit sure if genuine

Ring your gas company as they are the ones who would change it, are you sure its not just trying to get you to use a smart meter?

Contact National Grid - Google the number, don't use any numbers on the letter and ask them to confirm.

Gas meters do have a shelf life and replacing them isn't particularly unusual.

I've had an electric one replaced before

I never knew that, I've lived in two houses for twenty years plus and never needed a new one.
