Removing mould from curtains

How do I remove mould from dry clean only curtains? Am I right in thinking that dry cleaning alone wouldn't remove it?

I had mould spots on curtains in our old house and I spoke to the dry cleaners who told me they could clean the curtains but it wouldn’t remove the mould spots.

In the end I had to get new curtains. I was Angry because the windows were floor to ceiling height and 13 ft wide (60s build) so no mean feat to organise curtains for.

Is the mould definitely on the curtains themselves and not just the lining? If they are good curtains you could possibly have them re-lined.

I'll check again, re-lining might be an option. If that's not going to work I'll try giving them a clean myself. Worth a try before buying new curtains. We've got really big windows too. Thankfully it's just that one room we've had the mould issue, I've moved the de-humidifier in there now.
