Anyone got/had a heated clothes horse?

We don’t have outside space to hang laundry and we had a tumble drier but it was a pain as we had to move it when used so that the pipe could go out of the window. So we are at U.K. with a clothes horse.

I have seen heated ones - are they any good? Do the cause condensation? Are they much faster? I am going to get a load washed, dried and put away quickly so that we don’t look like a laundry!

I got one from Aldi, ok its better than a non heated one but things take ages to dry, I have to be careful what I use it for as clothes that take a while to dry end up smelling musty.

I have the Lakeland one & it is brilliant. Much much better than non heated ones. Not as fast as tumble drying obviously so better to gave expectations of speed accordingly. Wrapping a bedsheet around it (or get a cover) speeds up the drying. Definitely recommend - but get a good one.

Lakeland one here too Agee with @FakeFlamingo it’s fab and definitely getting the cover too

Large Lakeland one here with the cover ... it's fantastic! Will easily dry a HUGE load of washing overnight (with thick items like jeans etc.)

I can dry two loads loads of washing a day if I need, and costs so little to run.

Ooo thank you. We don’t have loads of room - but tonnes of laundry!

Yep, Lakeland one with cover and electric dehumidifier underneath really speeds the drying process

What size has everyone got? The site doesn’t actually give the footprint

It could be a faff but can you get to a laundrette for the bigger items? We do towels and bedding at the local laundrette plus anything else that will fill up a load. It saves a lot of space and annoyance of clothes horses all over the place.

I got the Lakeland one after my tumble drier died and I realised I liked having the space back that it took up! It's brilliant. Obviously not as quick, but no condensation. Yy to everyone who's said what a duvet cover or blanket over it and it speeds up drying no end.

On the plus side, it keeps our open plan downside toasty warm. And the cats love it Grin

Lakeland 3 tier one. Fab. Had it for 20 years!
