Does anyone know how to get rust spots off cutlery thats been in the dishwasher? Everything, particularly knives are always getting them and they are starting to look a bit manky. Thanks

Sorry don't have an answer but i'd be interested as to what the answer is. I'm forever buying new cutlery sets. The look so manky with the rust on them.

Can't guarantee it'll work but...

My grandparents' cutlery used to get rust marks (although not through dishwasher use in their case) and I use to place them upright in a jug of recently boiled water with a tea towel over them (sort of half covered with the water), letting the steam loosen any dirt and rust. Then one by one take them out and wipe them clean with another clean tea towel. Sometimes the rust needed a bit of an extra rub but they'd always come out spotless and shiny.

Hope it helps
