Glad you had a good time away ScareyHouse

Hope the pre-school stuff doesn't get too stressful FGS. I was on the committee here for several years and can't say I miss it now my time there is over...

I've spent a very productive 45minutes in dds room and have sorted out her wardrobe, moving summer clothes to the back and all her winter things to the front. I need to try to encourage her to try on all last years tights at some point but know she'll object!

I need to empty her desk next and see what bits and bots she's squirrelled away in there. The rest of her room is OK, we can spend some time in there together over half-term sorting out other bits and pieces. Ds has a small room so there isn't much chance for it to get too untidy!

My other project for today is the spare room (again) It always ends up a mess in here for some reason.

tibni · 15/10/2007 10:00

Hi Guys! Can I join you?

I started babysteps with Jas but didn't graduate as dh was made redundant and life is up in the air at the moment.

Things have slipped a bit and I really need some encouragement to keep to my routines. I know when i'm flying it does make a huge difference to the house but also I feel more "in control" generally.

So I need a kick up the bum to get going again! I have checked out the mission and cleaned the bathroom. I sorted dd room last weekend so i'm about to attack ds room and chuck the junk! But first i'll get something out the freezer for tea Having the guts to post is motivating me already.

Thanks guys

Jas · 15/10/2007 11:40

Morning.

I'm having one of those days today. Everything I've tried to do has gone wrong.

My plans are messed up nowand I need a kick to get me going, so I thought I'd post here and then go and start again.

I've taken meat out of the freezer for tomorrows tea (going in the slow cooker tonight. Thanks for the reminder tibni) and have tonight planned. I'm making soup as a pick me up, too.

I'm going to hang around here and have a late breakfast/early lunch then put ds down for a sleep and get moving I think.

yaddayah · 15/10/2007 11:45

Afternoon Everyone and welcome Newbies

My Xmas contribution to the household arrived today, 14 bottles of Italian wine and some swanky food, so I feel I have helped there.

Yesterday I felt vile. I spent most of it in bed, got up and, yep, nothing had been done. So I did some ironing and sorting out of laundry.

Today I did my morning chores, got up, showered, DS up and showered
downstairs, load WM and Run, empty DW and put away, Breakfast and dress DS and take him to school.

Then I took the bins out for collection, delivered DS to school and went to the toddler group. Did drinks and washed up. Collected DS and home.

To Do

Make lunch
Put away
Clean kitchen hotspots
Make buns etc with DS

and just potter, yesterday knocked me sideways so I'm not overdoing it today

Hope you and yours are well

yaddayah · 15/10/2007 13:15

I have to dye mine (its getting increasingly greyer as I hit my (gulp) mid thirties Have gone slightly darker than usual .. hence the shiny bit.. does mean that without a bit of blush I look like Morticia from the Adams Family

Have cleared away lunch and sorted out a few odds and sods

need tea !

yaddayah · 15/10/2007 13:16

No idea re card frames, but I will look out for them.

I spent the last hour doing 15 min bursts upstairs, and have got rid of some stuff from the kids room, and cleared out under our bed I'm going to finish off the kids room now I've started, and start downstairs.
I've decided not to try and get out again today, and just do housework instead. I'm going to be out all day tomorrow, so I need to get things nice (ish) today if i can.

EHM · 15/10/2007 13:31

TheMadScaryHouse · 15/10/2007 14:16

Yada I have gone lighter, as this means less colouring as my gey kind of blends in, but it is less shiny.

I have got stew in the slow cooker and have had a call from the insurance company re the pen incident before the holiday and they have offered us £1699 - so I am going to be off buying a new suite (They issue the cheque to the company direct)
