Octopus Energy?

Hi all,

I’m currently shopping round for online gas and electricity quote and Octopus seem to have come in at very good value!

Has anybody used them before?

I've just switched to them from Bulb. Not for the price so much or the fact it's renewable electricity ( Bulb was a match for both of these) but for their customer service record.

I’m with them and so far no complaints - submit meter readings online. We pay about £62 pcm for gas and electric

I switched to them a couple years ago and am very happy. I've been through most of the suppliers now and these are the best so far. I think they got the Which energy supplier of the year this year.

Yes I've been with them for a wee while now. Switch went really smoothly. They ask for monthly meter readings and then give an up to date balance so you always know how much energy you have used

If you switch make sure you get a referral code from someone else as you get £50 off your bill for doing it that way (i have a link if you need it)

I worked for them at one point and still work in the industry and think it’s between them and bulb for best all round supplier.

We got switched to them when our previous supplier withdrew from the UK domestic market.

No complaints so far but I'll be interested to see what they offer when our current fixed price deal ends.

Been with them a year after a big falling out with Ecotricity. Absolutely love them! No issues at all, apart from a wait on getting our smart meter installed. But that just meant we had to give monthly readings which was hardly a chore (and we were doing with Ecotricity anyway).
I've got a code if anyone wants it!

I switched to them last month from bulb, as bulb wanted a crazy amount pm for my electric! Very happy so far, and happy to share a referral code if anyone wants to use it.

When I signed up I didn't have a referral code but they found me one automatically so I had £50 credit as did the person whose code had been applied to my sign up. I thought that was brilliant!

So far so good
I made the move from sse to octopus around 3 months ago
Any questions I had I either emailed them or Facebook messaged them and they got back to me within 24hrs
So simple
Account online is great too I can see how much electricity I have used each day
Would definitely recommend

No it was all done online for me

Was your smart meter the older style one? Also do you know if they pay your resisting suppliers exit fees? ScottishPower seems to have got expensive!!

Smart meter was installed by sse in July 2000 so new
I don’t think I had any exit fees to pay
I Facebook messaged octopus they were really helpful
At this point they emailed me after answering my questions and I signed up with my code to get £50 off

no such thing as renewable energy. Use the cheapest supplier. Octopus are responsive and that £50 is useful for a while - but factor it into your calculations.
