My freezer got switched off for a couple of weeks. We eat a lot of fish. Pleurgh. You get the idea....!
Do any clever people have any tips to remove the smell? I have cleaned it really well with a bleach solution, pulled out everything I can to clean all the little bits and bobs - trays, drawers etc. It has had two dishes of bicarbonate of soda sitting in it for a week (changed the soda half way through the week). The soda smells after sitting in there, so I guess it is absorbing some of the smell, but the freezer is still gross.
I’ve been reading about cat litter... but not sure what type I need for my purpose. Argh. Really don’t want to buy a new fridge freezer! Thank you wise Mumsnetters!!
