Just purchased a granite worktop. Not sure if it has been sealed by the stone merchant / fitter so I’m trying to find that out. If it hasn’t, what product should I use.? Many thanks.

I have a granite worktop. I have no idea if it has a sealant or not. It came from the stone merchant lovely and shiny and has remained that way with just normal cleaning.

Use method black granite cleaner, (your granite doesn’t need to be black) it continually seals it when you clean. I’ve had mine for about four years and not resealed once.

You can tell it’s sealed as water forms droplets on the top and sits there.

It’s also fantastic stuff, you just spray it on, wipe it off with a micro fibre cloth, a bit like cleaning a mirror. Leaves it looking all glossy like new.
