My lights keep ‘dipping’

Over the past weeks, my lights have dipped 3/4 times.....twice during heavy rain, but not always. No idea what this is, do I need an electrician to check the fuse box etc?

Unlikely, it's usually more a mains supply issue. Can you check with a neighbou if they've noticed the same thing?

This happened to a friend of mine, it was a problem with the main fuse board, please have it checked

Try checking your supplier's web site first. You should have the option to enter your post code and they"ll tell you if there are any issues in your area.

Sometimes the local substation can have an issue (like flooding) and the power drops to sort of half brightness.

We had this. The fuse board ended up catching fire.
