Tumble drying wool duvet

Gas anyone successfully managed this? Just got the autumn one down from the lift and it needs a wash. Usually I just wack it on the line to dry but it's so cold out I'm not convinced it would dry ( and I don't want that damp smell). Has anyone dried one in the drier on low with dryer balls before? Did it work? I don't want to ruin it but equally don't want to take it to dry cleaners in the current climate....

What's covid got to do with dry cleaning?

Perhaps not put it in dryer until it's almost dry? Put it outside duro g the day, it's lovely when:if the sunshines
