Best fabric conditioner for fresh/clean smelling washing

Can anyone recommend the best fabric conditioner for fresh/clean smelling washing that stays on the clothes for a while after they've dried?

I just tried some Ariel liquitabs for the first time. There is a strong fresh smell even after they've been through the tumble dryer. Personally I prefer as little scene as possible but my teenage DD commented after the first wash how nice it was.

Comfort lavender - it smells amazing and lasts.

Yes I’ve noticed that Ariel which beige used this time makes my washing smell stronger and I can smell it on my kids sometimes which I’ve never really done before.
Also fabric conditioner makes things smell nice but I don’t tend to use it.
