Cleaning dunlopillo

We've had our dunlopillo for about 4 years now and they smell 'beddy' despite having had a pillow protector and pillow case on them. How do I clean them? Can you wash them in the washing machine?

I've got some dunlopillos as well, although I haven't got around to washing them yet! I seem to remember from the label you can take them to the dry cleaners or put them in a large capacity machine. When I do eventually get around to washing them I'll probably just wash them in the bath with some gentle detergent and then leave them to dry flat outside. If its a bright day I occasionally take the pillow protectors off and put them outside to air laid flat on top of the rotary dryer- it seems to help!
