Nice oil smells for electric diffuser

I’ve got an electric diffuser that came with all sorts of oils but all smell really herby and nasty. Can anyone recommend some nice scents I can order?

We use a company called @thejspatch on insta they sell oil refills and los of other smelly bits. spring inspiration is nice,

Wildwood6 · 24/09/2020 14:54

Absolute Aromas make some lovely essential oil blends that work well in electric diffusers, they're fantastic quality blends for the money, with no nasty synthetic smells. I particularly like the 'Refresh', 'Romance' and 'De-stress' blends. www.absolute-aromas.com/searchresults?category=pg_EB2. Or if you want a real splurge then Neom make gorgeous oil blends but they're pretty spendy, although the bottle will last you months and months www.neomorganics.com/collections/essential-oil-blends

I use neom - not found anything better.

I've just bought one from the white company in
the scent winter and it's perfect for this time of year Smile

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 24/09/2020 22:50

I like the white companies bay and lime, and Seychelles

NurseNancyandDoctorDavid · 24/09/2020 22:53

Neal's Yard, mostly individual oils, but they do stock about 5 blends.

EasilyDeleted · 24/09/2020 22:59

I agree about Absolute Aromas, I'm using their Goodnight at the moment and really like it. It's lavender, geranium, marjoram and camomile.

The white company Spa scent is so dreamy

doadeer · 25/09/2020 08:03

I've just bought white company fir tree and spa - both beautiful.

I also love the Christmas blends, but I just get those from Amazon (all year round)--

I used to buy doterra until I realised they were a MLM - But their blends were lovely

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 26/09/2020 12:32

I have the white companies spa scent and whilst it's not unpleasant I won't buy it again. I want to try the winter one, had the candle last year and was lovely.
doadeer fir tree, can you describe how it smells please, I can only think of that green disinfectant Blush

WettnWild · 26/09/2020 12:35

I have the Neom diffuser and use their oils. The energy one is my favourite, will probably get the Perfect Peace and Christmas Wish I think it’s called, haven’t tried those yet.

PinkkLady · 26/09/2020 12:36

Make sure the ones you buy are water soluble!

So many oils are sold for diffusers and they’re not actually water soluble so won’t work.

LittleEsme · 26/09/2020 12:57

OP - what oils are they? Are they essential oils or fragrance oils?

Essential oils are all naturally derived and some can be 'herby' as you said but will smell lovely when blended with others? If they're essential oils, tell me what they are and I may be able to suggest a few blends?

It smells like a strong Christmas tree - a pine, woody smell. Not sure how else to describe!

LittleEsme - this is the set I’ve got (it was a competition prize) I’m not sure if they can be mixed? Thanks Smile

Oh gosh I have oil envy!

Wow Words you have some serious oils there.

Pinterest has some amazing blend recipes - you could type in what you have and ask for blend recipes. You may have to buy some floral oils like lavender, geranium, lemongrass etc but these are very reasonable.

Alternatively, you could sell them and make a tidy profit Grin - if you're not into your essential oils, that is.

You could use the profit to buy some oils suggested by posters above!

Congrats on your win though - I never see competitions like this.

wellerhugs5 · 26/09/2020 20:17

Tisserand do a lovely range. I get mine from Amazon.

Plussizejumpsuit · 26/09/2020 20:20

Are you buying essential oils or fragrance oils op?

PurpleFrames · 26/09/2020 20:26

I love Sainsburys range- very affordable for scents/oils/diffusers

LizzieMacQueen · 26/09/2020 21:12

Muji. They do fabulous scents. I like the blends 'I am home' and 'start to work' but the individual bergamot and eucalyptus are good too. Cute wee child proof bottle tops too.

LynetteScavo · 27/09/2020 08:54

My family never complain about the Sainsbury's fragrance oils, which are cheap and nice,if synthetic, but really don't like Neom.

TheClitterati · 28/09/2020 20:42

I'm totally addicted to Neal's Yard Women Balance blend.

Actual essential oils work really well in a diffuser.

EasilyDeleted · 28/09/2020 21:18

I bought that Neal's Yard one on Friday after posting on here, a friend was using it at her house a few months ago and I had liked it there. Really lovely.
