Clothes stiff and bobbly after washing 😳

So this is a bit embarrassing because I feel like if I’m a mum I should know this BUT today my clothes came out of the wash all rough/stiff and bobbly. I usually wash them on a long wash but on time saver but today I used the 1 hour wash. I made sure the spin speed was the same as my regular wash so I’m not sure what’s gone on. Any advice please?

When you say stuff, once you got them or t were they normal? Bobbly as in the indent from the washing machine? We're they plastered to the sides of the washer?

Sometimes stiff can mean a build up of detergent. If I give mine an extra rinse I can sometimes see loads more suds, particularly if I use a capsule which can sometimes feel that there’s too much gel in it.

Check the softener went out of the dispenser? Or was the wash too hot? What material? Cotton or wool/polyester? If you have a rinse and spin setting I'd go again with more softener, that only takes 15mins on mine.

Annoying if clothes go bobbly though. That means they're damaged doesn't it?

It was a 40 degree wash and cotton clothes. They went in soft and came out stiff and bobbly like little threads pulling up. The softener did go in. Next time I’ll try an extra rinse. Thanks for the advice. Still not sure on the bobbles though 😩

No idea what would cause thread pulling unless there's setting like a bra on their (the fastener) or something rough inside?

How annoying for you. I'd check inside the machine for anything rough or sharp which might be catching. Bra wires can get half rammed down the little holes inside the drum.

The only other thing that causes pulled threads or bobbling is clothes catching on zips or Velcro fastenings on other clothes? My son's work trousers have Velcro pockets that get caught on things in the wash.

Ah thank you! Could be the zips. I was washing my daughters new uniforms that I just bought!! Must have been the zippers on her dresses. Wish I put them inside out now 😭

Amazon sells a bobble removing device. I just shave any bobbles off with a women’s razor and it does the trick
