Kitchen renovation - thinking of getting rid of my Aga

About to renovate my kitchen. I inherited my Aga and I have found it easy to cook as a complete newby but I am always guessing on food times which means I am in front of my Aga the whole time but I love the fact it keeps my kitchen warm. In this re-plan, I cannot seem to factor in a secondary cooking source in the summer months in the space I have. My options are to replace Aga with Range and put in Underfloor heating (huge space and huge job), or put in three huge radiators which will look like an eyesore. or another Aga which has the ready to cook functions on it. Look to hear from anyone else who has been through this please!

We got rid of our Aga for similar reasons - I miss it in winter but it’s such a relief not to have it letting off heat when it’s warm outside. The room is still cosy with underfloor heating.

My friend got a regular cooker and put it at the other end of the kitchen. The aga went off all summer. Plug in electric radiators provided heat. Cooker provided cooking capability.

In the winter the aga went on again.

Their kitchen was a farmhouse one. Quite large. Had plenty room for another cooker. Think they had to get an electrician or a gas man in to plumb it in though. I can’t remember what it’s fuel source was, although I’m thinking it was electric I’m not sure.

Thank you guys. Although our kitchen is a large space we have so many doors leading off it there is no actually space for another cooker or even a hob. I have been doing this plan for a couple of years but intensely in the last few months. I have reworked the kitchen a thousand times and even called in kitchen designers but nothing as really worked. Hence my question x

Would you want to post a plan of the current layout for MNetters to enjoy, I mean offer up any suggestions for remodelling? MNs do love a diagram! Grin
