Deep clean tips

Hiya,

I hope you can help! We’re planning to do a deep clean of our flat tonight/tomorrow. Does anyone have any tips for how best to do this? I always feel that I never get the floors (tile/vinyl) completely clean which is frustrating

Have you got a scrubbing brush you could use on your floors?

I’ve got a hard bristle one for outside - that should be ok on tiles shouldn’t it? Maybe too rough for the vinyl?

Yes it might scratch the vinyl but on hands and knees to clean it would work well.
How are you getting on?

Deep cleaning. Tidy everything the day before, so you're syrting with a blank canvas.

Always start at the top, so dust the ceiling, light fittings and shades first. Move as much furniture into the middle if the room as possible and do all the skirting birds and vacuum all the edges. Then get a bowl of warm soapy water and clean everything, drying off with a microfiber cloth.

Hard floors , vacuum first and then, on your hands and knees use a cloth and a bowl of hot soapy water to clean. Then mop with a disinfectant.
