Wasn't thinking tonight and put a plastic water bottle in the dishwasher with our main meal which had tomatoes - gone that funny colour. Normally at home I don't care - but this has to go into school each day. Is there any way to rescue it - I seem to recall bleaching does bugger all to help...

Milton?

Try soda crystals

Another vote for Milton works brilliantly on orangey Tupperware.

Thankyou - will get some Milton purchased. Tried soda crystals as I had some and not sure if I was doing it right but no real change...

Sunlight!

I just put orange chopping boards/Tupperware etc out in the sun. Works like magic.

A drop of normal bleach will work. Just give it a really good rinse.

well a quick update - we had to isolate as the dreaded cough arrived home with the kids so no shopping...
Although I knew washing with bleach hadn't worked - decided to try leaving for longer in bleach - probably nearly 24 hours and the orange tinge has gone!!! So thankyou all - by the time they can go back to school they will both have nice clean water bottles!!!
