Morning all.

It's still dark, what's going on?

Mission

Bins, bins, bins and more bins...

Maybe I can practice on this bin, while I work up the courage for the wheelie bin .

Morning

I like kitchen week
It is bin day today so I would do my kitchen bin anyway while it is empty, and the wheelie bin later when that has been doe.

I am working this morning, and need to fit in some tme to finish stripping the wallpaper upstairs. FIL is coming o stay tonight so I also need to create a sleeping space on the sofa.

Jas · 08/10/2007 07:32

Morning all

Hope baby bear is feeling better this morning x

I'll have dd at home with me today as she's woken up two days in a row with a headache and a (slight) temperature. Although she picked up through the day yesterday I can't see that it's worth her going into school when she's not 100%, she can have a day lounging in bed instead.
I still have this blasted cold too

I'll be trying to do all my regular routines as usual

See you later x

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 08/10/2007 07:48

Morning Guys.

I have slipped a bit so I'm glad it's kitchen week. I have never cleaned my wheelie bin. I looked in it the other day when it was empty and it wasnt too bad (I do use black sacks).

Ooooh I did this last week! I'll give it another wipe round though.

Hope any poorly's are ok today
DS had a temp all day sat, and all sat night, he seems ok today. DD2 now looks poorly though.

Thanks to simply I am glad I'm not the only one....I get very about my lack of culinary skills!

Grouchy thanks for the suggestions for the peppers, I like the idea of them with sausages...yum

I have my Welsh Lesson today, but other than that I'm pottering around at home.

Better go and get everyone ready for school/nursery

SpookyBearistheSpookyBear · 08/10/2007 08:11

Thanks for asking after Baby Bear.

She conked out at 6pm last night, but slept through till 6ish this morning (which is more than can be said for DD1). She was utterly miserable for a while but seems a bit better now the Calprofen has kicked in.

Have had DH around recently, but he's at work today, so I'm going to have my work cut out if DD2's crying all day while DD1 is demanding to do footprints in paint - which she's already asked to do this morning.

Am not dressed yet, but I've done some of my jobs...

OP posts:
SpookyBearistheSpookyBear · 08/10/2007 08:13

My DD's obviously not the only poorly one around! Hope everyone else's LOs get well soon.

Glad to learn I'm not the only one not to clean her wheelie bin, FGS!

OP posts:
ludaghoul · 08/10/2007 10:15

Hope Baby bear is better soon xx

Well DH has driven into town....I'm rather hoping he'll be careful (TUT!) I'm sure it will be fine.

I'm house bound until he gets back with the car....so I'm going to get stuck in... I've already done my morning routine. I've phoned my dad, posted some things off I've been meaning to do for days (even though there is a postal strike ...but at least they have gone) I've written up the minutes of the meeting I was roped into, and done some other bits and bobs for the Gardening Club.

I shall go and have a whip around before I walk to get DS in an hour or so

Shannaratiger · 08/10/2007 13:36

then

have just stumbled here. Jas am v. impressed with your organisation, will be making notes & hopefully live in less of a mess & get out of the door on time, in one go (rather than 4+ returns for things forgotten).

Shannaratiger · 08/10/2007 13:54

How do you clean a wheelie bin?

Agh! Having the most disasterous playdate ever!
Dd perked up no end at lunchtime and got herself up and dressed. She joined in playing with the boys for a while but has now gone mental, throwing the most enormous tantrum (toddler style) She's clearly tired and not well but there's no excuse really, she's 6 fgs!
Ds is also over-tired and isn't willing to play with his friend.
Friend is getting upset by the whole experience

BiancaCastafiore · 08/10/2007 14:47

Thanks for the reminder Ruby I need to buy some more bits for our home-made Christmas presents. Will try to shop for them this week and get started

spookybatoscar · 08/10/2007 16:03

Luda It is very yummy. DH does it lots and lots and there never seems enough . I've been chief cook while he's done overtime so I'm enjoying passing on food suggestions at the moment, reminds me of what I can do for tea etc. Ask anytime and I should have an idea (Or I'll ask DH)

Pleased Baby bear is on the mend

Tiger Wheelybin clean... When I did mine I scraped the bottom out with a spade (yep it was that grim and tipped it out intyo the gutter. Then I put 1/2 a bottle of thick disinfectant in, 1/2 bottle of multi surface cleaner and 2 of my mop buckets of the hottest water I had. Then I slooshed round with a mop. I scrubbed the top with a scrubbing brush then poured that down the gutter. I soaked a newspaper in the disinfectant and hot water and dropped it into the bottom to keep it fresh.

Ed wrote his 1st letter for me today. I was trying to get him to write e but he told me that it should be 'this one' for his name and chalked E ! This morning he was telling the BT engineer what the letters were in the box he was fixing at the roadside... That's my Ed huh!

Hello to all. I hope to come back and post properly this evening. I must crack on just now seeing as the kids are occupying themselves and the lamb is cooking in the oven. I've just checked Funky's weekly list. I think I'll do some mirror polishing as I don't have very much time before needing to prepare the veg.

See you later!
