Mattress protectors for students!

Any recommendations for hard wearing mattress protectors for a student rental? Not a noisy, crunchy waterproof one, but something to last a year. One time the protector was completely shredded into tiny pieces!!!

I have Ikea ones on our beds which seem to have lasted well. They’ve a sort of towelling top & waterproof backing. I’ve even tumble dried them a few times by mistake.

The ones with a towelling top are the best.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a slightly quilted one at home which seem to have lasted, but cant read the label anymore! Any idea where the towelling ones are from?

Ikea Gokart are almost flannelette on top and they don't let anything through.

I have these at home and when DS left uni I made her ring it back with her.

Thanks for the links, but I cant see that ikea one online anymore and the M&S one is out of stock. I'll keep searching.

I had a holiday rental and bought thin waterproof ones with a towelling top. They were very good. I think I got them on Amazon.

These Silentnight ones are absolutely fine - we’ve bought a few for various beds and DS has one in his house at university.
