All things ironing

I’ve just read an article that says ironing has been voted the 4th most hated task around the home. Goodness knows what numbers 1-3 were but I bet oven cleaning features!

Ive got a lot of ironing to do over the next couple of days and I thought with the kids going back to school soon and all those uniforms to iron I’d ask what are your favourite products, gadgets and hacks for ironing? What couldn’t you live without?

Watching tv at the same time

A good tumble dryer and stretchy clothes that don’t need ironing 😂

In all seriousness I have a good steak iron and and a steak reflective cover thing for the ironing board. I iron as little as possible, and I refuse to iron for OH.

Given that I started ironing at 16 when my mother left us, and have been doing so for the past 40 plus years, I can tell you that there are no hacks to straightening out material with a hot plate but I live in constant wonderment at the finished results which seem to be getting gradually worse every time I do it :)

Just don't buy anything that needs ironing

And make sure DH does his own.

Even things that say easy iron or non iron still look crumpled to me so I have to iron them lol

DH doesn’t care if he looks a state so don’t iron his things lol

Steam iron!

Watch something. Anything. I’ve got through whole series between ironing and decluttering.

A nice wide board. A steam generator iron. Something good on the telly.

I actually enjoy a good ironing session BUT I don’t iron things that don’t need it.

I used to iron everything,, I don’t iron at all now,,
