Good morning everyone Enjoy your breakfast Jas, I always have mine while i'm sitting here on MN

I've done my morning routine, just need to do the mission
Then need to do my Friday jobs~
~garden chores/water and feed house plants
~zone chores
~return library books

Other than that I have a quiet morning today. I hope to make Friday mornings my "me" time and start going swimming or something but it doesn't seem to be happening at the moment
I also need to call round and find someone to swop shifts with me at work tomorrow as dh is busy so we have a childcare problem!

ludaghoul · 05/10/2007 09:30

Morning Everyone

Today I had planned to do various things, such as clean the Guinea Pigs out, and the fish. Do the beds, and tidy the kids bedrooms up.

BUT...we had a call from MIL last night...she had been to see a sychic, with SIL's. He had told her that her only son (i.e DH) would not survive a car accident! He said he shouldn't drive between Friday and Monday.
FFS!!!!!!! Why on earth they all go and do these stupid things I have no idea! Oh yes...lets all go and see a sychic so he can tell us that someone is going to die in a car crash....our great nan is going to suffer a bad fall and she won't recover....IS THERE ANY GOOD NEWS?????!!!!

So....just to be on the safe side...I've banned DH from going into town today ...I do think its all a crock of sh*t but heaven forbid something should happen to him!...especially as we haven't been getting on so well lately...I do love him to bits obviously, and I'm not quite ready to let him have a fatal crash!

Anyhoo....so I may have to go and run some errands for him instead today!

yaddayah · 05/10/2007 10:14

luda

OMG ! I'm not sure if thats just downright dangerous/evil/demented or all three. I went to a psychic meeting in a pub once The bloke used to be on sky one, he told all the elderly people he could see someone in uniform (the war... duuuurrr do you reckon ?? ) and all the younger ones that they were thinking about moving house/changing jobs.. more upsettingly he told two women in there late 30's that they'd obviously been thinking about having children and asked if they'd been having problems... it was downright nasty and a couple of people got very upset on basic asumptions .. I didn't for one minite think he had any form of gift (me being very heavily and obviously pg at the time he told me my life was going to change dramatically .. the sarcasm when I stood up and pointed and .. do you think ?? was lost on him...

Sorry thats turned into a mini rant.. but please don't get upset by it

hmmm I just went on here to say I'd got a next delivery and a yummy grey boyfriend cardigan .. but went off on one

ludaghoul · 05/10/2007 10:21

It is really annoying. I'm going to have to stop him driving though aren't I!...just incase!

yaddayah · 05/10/2007 10:38

IKWYM even though its total rubbish it will pray on your mind

Hrump got to go to harvest festival...

back later !

gibberish · 05/10/2007 11:10

Morning all you lovely people

luda Psychics are very dangerous and to avoided at all costs.

yadda I am waiting with bated breath for your latest ramblings

bear mad and bianca have a lovely day with your lists and what not

Well, just come back from the doc. He is referring me to a neurologist and a gerisomethingorother who usually sees old people as he deals with memory loss. He says my epilepsy is very rare so they will be very interested to see me about the memory loss Why do I feel like climbing in the guinea pigs' cage all of a sudden??

So at least I am getting something done about it finally and I am not actually going insane, as dh would have me believe...

Not much FLYing to do today. House is immaculate from yesterday and all the washing is up to date. Going to clear out the little shed and take it all down the tip so that the girls can actually get their bikes in there! Will tidy up the gardens too I think since it's a nice day.

Exhibition preview this evening. Can't be bothered to go really but suppose I will have to make an appearance. Got to do newspaper interview too (groan). Talk the same old rubbish.

Simply · 05/10/2007 11:27

Sorry, I must get cracking now I've finished my cup of tea and bagel with honey (2nd brekkie) so I'll just reply to Jas' post from last night. I think it will be repeated at some time, but it may be a few months. Family history is fascinating. I gave up my English side as I wasn't doing any on the Welsh side but as a result, I'm not doing any as a) I don't have time atm and b) they (the Welsh lot) all have very common forenames and surnames - oh, and occupations! Of course, they told fibs about ages and stuff or else genuinely didn't know or couldn't remember which didn't help.

Oh, and a quick one for luda. I'm sure it's all nonsense but I can understand the concern.

gibberish I will e-mail you today!

Right. Must crack on.

Simply · 05/10/2007 13:00

Me again. Cup of coffee time.

I've cleaned the big fridge! [gasp] Of course, it would have been sensible to have done it before going food shopping but I had to take ds into town first thing so couldn't time it correctly. I suppose I could have done it yesterday but I did do lots and the kids had 3 after school things plus dh was away. I should get back onto finding us an au pair but after all the effort in June and July came to nothing - I'm loathe to spend any more time on it just now.

Ok. Coffee break time is over. Time to put everything back in the fridge, I guess!

spookybatoscar · 05/10/2007 13:08

Good Afternoon you luvverly lot

I feel great today, I've put so much FLYing in this week that there is very little to do now. I'm sure there's a ton of stuff that Kelly or Anthea can pull me up for but...ah s*d it.

Done
Up and washed and dressed
Rouse Ed
Draw his curtains
Make his bed
Wash him
Take dry washing off airers
Downstairs
Run DW
Empty WM
Hang wet washing up
Help dress Ed
Take him to school
Go to coffee morning
Do the washing up (inc the pans for a cooked brekkie )
Collect Ed
Bring him home (we had a really lovely chat)
Peg washing out (well if the sun is bothering to shine, I'll take advantage)
Empty DW
Put away

To Do

Make Ed's lunch
Tidy away
Take him for the HIB jab
Home again
Potter

As I've got a long day I won't exert myself. I've dug out all Ed's recent daubings and scribbles (he is not an artist LOL Unless he's apeing Mark Rothko) To stick in a scrap book. He found a sheet of his baby photos and got all upset as he wants to be a 'sweet little baby' again

Jas · 05/10/2007 13:53

Sorry spookybear

Thanks Simply I will just have to look out for it.

I went out for lunch and have only been back 1/2 hour. School runat 3, then out again til tea time. I've tidied up in the kitchen, am going to have a cp of tea and hang out the washing

yaddayah · 05/10/2007 14:17

Have fun at the greyhounds Oscar hope you win ! (another good list again .. take it wasy though I don't want to hear of any wobbly legs.. )
Gibberish good luck with the preview am very I don't have an artistic bone in my body

Harvest festival was quite cute.. some VERY odd songs about vegetables including a rather racy samba number

Got my brother over for dinner tonight so just sorting out a huge chicken curry

slobber slobber

Still haven't cleaned the kitchen floor

yaddayah · 05/10/2007 14:21

wasy .. durrrrr I mean easy

gibberish I didn't know you had epilepsy.. I have occasional symptoms (dx at 17) if you need any info/ a chat let me know (not sure I can help but you never know)

SpookyBearistheSpookyBear · 05/10/2007 14:59

Morning routine got done, despite tantrums.

(From DD1 not me.)

Have just mopped the kitchen and dining room, and off to run some errands in a roly mo.

madhouse hope you enjoy your hols! When are you back?

yaddah harvest festival sounds sweet. Can't wait till I get to go to things like that. Really!

luda . That is so irresponsible of someone to scare your MIL like that. Terrible. I'm outraged on your behalf. It is all nonsense, but can understand why you're feeling superstitious .

gibberish hope you get some informative feedback from the neuro. In my experience they just talk in circles and avoid answering my questions!

And good luck for the exhibition. That, plus media interviews, all sounds v. glamorous to me and not yawnworthy at all!

oscar have fun tonight.

and good afternoon to everybody else!

gibberish · 05/10/2007 16:45

Thanks Bear and yadda. I'll let you know how the preview went when I get back home tonight

yadda thanks for that. I don't really have a problem with the epilepsy - I've had it since I was 7, although they didnt' actually diagnose it until I was 23. It's very mild - temporal lobe - so it's more like feelings of deja vu than anything else. I don't actually have seizures. It's more the memory loss which is upsetting me. Can't remember anything past two years. No memory of when the girls were little, my wedding, school etc etc. Very frustrating.

Bear re the neurologist - this is what I'm expecting really. I doubt I will ever get my memory back and I'm sure they will confuse me senseless with all sorts of technical stuff. I really just want them to confirm that it IS the epilepsy that is causing the memory loss, and nothing more sinister, and try to convince me that I won't get to the stage where I cant remember my own name!

Thanks for your concern anyway. Appreciate it

gibberish · 05/10/2007 16:50

oh forgot to give a run down on today! Been VERY busy. Tidied out the garden shed so that the girls can get their bicycles in. Tidied up the garden. Washed and hoovered the car (must have burned off 5,000 cals ) and took a whole load of stuff the the tip and recycling plant.

Got a real bargain too! Have promised dd3 and dd4 that I will get them new bikes this month. Took one which is too small to the recycling plant and while we were putting it in the bike container, dd2 found an almost brand new 'Bratz Rock Angelz' bike! Couldn't believe it! So we hauled it out and took it home. Perfect size for dd3 and she loves it! I decided to get it tidied up and serviced so found a local place which does up bikes. Found when I got there that they do up old bikes and re-sell them. Got an absolutely beautiful bike for dd4 for £25!!! Like new and fully serviced. So pleased. She LOVES it. So 2 new(ish) bikes for £25 - can't be bad

Off to start dinner now. Have a good evening everyone x

strutting guinea pigs
Gibberish : Crikey not heard of that .. I get absences (used to get the big show off roll on the floor ones but "grew out" of them) where I will lose anything from a couple of seconds to about 10 mins.. the de ja vu .. all the time but that .. yep I'd say that needs further investigation.. hope you get some answers
