Removing grease stain from wall

Hi,
Does anyone have any clever tips to remove grease stain from a painted wall?
We had a sticker on dons bedroom wall and it left a big sticky patch. We used small amount of cooking oil to remove sticky patch and now left with greasy oil stain!
I read on internet about baking soda but I'm scared of making it worse - house is rented and we are moving out so keen to get rid of it! Thanks.

I think I would just try fairy liquid. It washes grease off pans so should work on a wall.

I'd give chalk a go

Weak soda crystal solution will do it

Sounds odd but I have used cornflour/talc in muslin cloth then iron over an oil stain to try to remove it.Its difficult as on wall but you could try this.

Sugar soap

Is it wallpaper or paint on plaster?

If the surface is porous you won't be able to get it off, the only solution is to paint over.

If go for magic sponge first.

I find hair spray great for removing stickers but I have never tried on walls I think it might be worth a try
