Where to get new towels from?

We have some bathroom towels from John Lewis which were disappointing as they unravelled in places and now have a damp smell l can’t shift. Others towels are from Primark, they are ok but not amazing. Where should l be going?

I wish I could remember where we bought ours as they are really good. I will try google in case rings a bell as they fold into one better than our heavier Towels!

This has set me thinking, how often if ever do you replace towels? We’ve had Most of ours for over 15 years

I've got some nice ones from M&S and Next but was a whole a go now. My newer ones from Asda are pretty decent too

NC4Now · 15/08/2020 15:43

I got good quality towels from Dunelm

Elouera · 15/08/2020 15:44

I bought bath sheets from tescos a few years ago for temporary use on a holiday. They were cheap, but thick and wash really well. I plan to replace all my current ones all with tescos ones- assuming the quality is still the same.

Sainsbury's. Loads better than even the most expensive M&S ones.

Reallybadidea · 15/08/2020 15:47

The nicest towels that I've ever had are from Soak and Sleep. They're not cheap, although they sometimes have offers on, but they really are brilliant quality.

Simonfromharlow · 15/08/2020 15:47

Bedeck towels are excellent.

Hippofrog · 15/08/2020 15:47

I love my Asda ones

Tk maxx/home sense

My asda bath sheets are lovely

SoddingWeddings · 15/08/2020 15:54

Asda. Mine are a decade ago old and in amazing condition. I was only eyeing them up today in the shop, and they're still a really high quality set of towels, and the bath towels are huge.

Longdistance · 15/08/2020 15:59

I agree with Sainsbury’s. Their towels are really bouncy and wash well and bounce back. The bath sheet is huge in size too if you’re after bath towels or a set. They sometimes have sales on certain colours/patterns if you’re not bothered about matching your bathroom.

Gatekeeper · 15/08/2020 16:01

the thicker ones tend to hold in smells and take forever to dry in my opinion. You are better off with thinner ones...Ikea do a bath sheet for £7. Dry fast and hold their own despite repeat washing

applesandpears33 · 15/08/2020 16:07

Costco do some nice ones. They are thick and soft but I think they only do them in white.

FlamingoAndJohn · 15/08/2020 16:10

Another vote for Soak and Sleep.
They are really heavy and fluffy.
I’ve got these: www.soakandsleep.com/luxury-100-egyptian-cotton-bath-towels.html?swatch=1597

Not the cheapest but worth the money.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will get shopping this weekend!

White Company
I bought mine from the Bicester outlet and even though some are 10 years old now they are still in excellent condition
The white ones are still very white too

tywysoges · 21/08/2020 15:46

My nicest ones are big, fluffy bath sheets from Ikea (Bredasund). Better than my previous M&S and John Lewis ones - but I’ve never had any fancier ones so can’t compare with those.
