Morning, sucked in by a thread last week I bought a eufy robovac in the full expectation it would change my life Grin

But, on arrival, I realised quite how big it is. And it needs a huge amount of clear space either side and in front of the charging station.

I'm a bit disappointed tbh. If you have one, where do you keep it and is it totally clear around it? Do you all live in minimalist Manhattan lofts?

An currently planning to return it.

I've been wanting one for ages and now I REALLY want one. What brands do you all have?

Ichangedmynameonce · 11/08/2020 22:36

@QuarantineDream I have a eufy 30 which was much recommended on a thread recently about things that have improved your life. I'd advise you not to read that thread, you'll spend a fortune. anyway, started using it today and I'm pleased so far. True, it cant find its way home but I haven't given the docking station the required space

us.roborock.com/pages/robot-vacuum-cleaner
Most of the Roborock brand mop as well as hoover.

I have just started a thread on ‘Chat’ asking how new Eufy owners were getting on.
If I had seen this thread I would not have bothered!
Our docking station does not have the recommended clearance, he will dock but takes a long time to work his way home.
Otherwise, excellent.

I just leave Dave to run until he runs out of battery then pop him back on his docking station. I love him so much

How does it cope moving around objects like coffee tables? And can it figure out moving into other rooms (like front room to hall way) before coming back?

Jack the robovac lives in the downstairs spare bedroom. I open the doors and he does the whole of the downstairs every day (and twice a day when dgs has been) It takes me five minutes to move the few things to give him a clear run (dog bed and bowl, Lamp from side table, leads from charger and vase of flowers) then I set it off and take the dog a walk. It takes about 45 minutes to do the whole of the downstairs, it goes under coffee tables and footstools and finds it's way back to the docking station wherever it ends up and even goes the long way round to avoid the stair gate on the kitchen door if dgs is due.

We have one that mops aswell as cleans. It's better than any cleaner! We use it twice a day in the kitchen.
It's still a novelty having all our rooms clean at the same time.
Money well spent!!!
