Sorry I’m no help but if its heat feels unusual could you ask the manufacturer? I have heard it’s safer to buy ones with a metal back not plastic for reasons of faulty appliances starting fires but no experience or advice sorry

As it will be working harder in the hot weather to keep cool its normal though best thing is try not to open and close it so much and short times of doors open

I've got a mini fridge, and it does exactly the same thing. Try turning it down a touch, the sides should cool down straight away.

Mine heats up around the seals if it's been opened a lot or not closed properly. You could also check that nothing is blocking the little drainage hole, that caused it once on an old fridge.
