Bathroom soaps

I know it's a bit silly, but I'd like a nice soap for the bathroom for when people visit. We currently use soap bars which I really like, but they don't look attractive after a week of use and I'm aware that others don't always feel comfortable using hand soap in different homes.

So, something gorgeous smelling, pretty packaging and that won't break the bank. I'd love to buy fancy, but can't spend £20 on hand soap! Sadly. Up to £10 is okay.

Tk maxx always has a great selection of squirty soaps and they're a great price.

Posh dispenser, and decant in something that smells nice in plain packaging.

If you search "guest soap bars", there are lots including 25 prettily wrapped soaps for £9.99 or 50 or 100 for less per bar.

Waitrose do some really lovely ones, their own brand and others.

I have an irrational “thing” about liquid soap dispensers that are transparent. Maybe because they’re in my eyeline while I’m doing my business.
Is it time to refill? How much longer can it last? Water it down? Mix two together? Have I got a replacement that I can decant into it or just substitute? ...... Very wearying, I know. And I ought to get a relaxing picture to stare at instead.

But now, since lockdown I have a system. A huge glass dispenser and a 2-litre pouch of hand soap, always the same, that I top up from once a week.
Having said that, L’Occitane lavender or lemon verbena liquid soaps (£16 for 1litre pouch!) are gorgeous but too expensive with all the hand washing we’re supposed to be doing at the moment.

I’ve just bought some from Bramley to posh up our downstairs loo.

Where's that bottle from?! It's gorgeous

Mine was €3 from a shabby chic place that was closing down (and rightly so as a lot of their stuff was rubbish).
That photo came from Amazon with much higher prices.
You could probably make your own with a cute jam jar, pierce its lid and hot glue on a pump mechanism.

I love bar soap in the shower but know what you mean about it looking messy for guests.

This is amazing

I use Splosh liquid handsoap and make it up in fancy(ish) pump dispensers. I stick to the same scent in bathrooms with a different one in the kitchen and then I can just make up another batch (the refills are concentrated and you mix with hot water) whenever it looks like the dispensers are running low..... no need for it to be totally empty....

The Imperial Leather Botanical Garden hand wash range have lovely scents if you can find them. The bottles are also quite pretty for a £1 hand wash.
