fridge freezer in garage

Has anyone had any problems with keeping a fridge freezer in their garage? I desperately need the extra storage due to v small kitchen and more mouths to feed since lockdown! I know it isn't generally recommended cos of temperature instability outside, but is it usually ok?

We have a tall Beko Freezer in the garage for our food as they are suitable for outbuildings, it was in the house but we now only have a small freezer in the kitchen and a large fridge, DH also has a separate Hotpoint fridge(old small kitchen fridge) and freezer, both quite old for his fishing bait, these are also been working fine for years, he did think of getting a cheap fridge freezer as it would have a smaller footprint but if it broke it would be the whole lot gone rather than just a singe item.

We have a cheapy Beko in the garage. It's right in front of the metal door, so will feel the worst of the cold, never had a problem with it switching off.

We have a fridge freezer in our garage. Have since we moved to Australia 11 years ago. Never had a problem. We freeze our meat and zopper dopers in it and the fridge part is for cold drinks ( ok it’s the wine/ beer fridge😂😂)

Ha, well that serves me right. Our Beko may have worked perfectly well through several winters but it packed up yesterday after I posted this. Luckily we were able to fit everything in our other fridge freezer or cook it as we haven't been shopping yet this weekend.

We too have a Beko freezer and also a Beko fridge sitting side by side in our garage. We have never had a single issue with them.

We have a Beko fridge freezer recommended for garages and outbuildings. It's worked perfectly for years now.

Been looking into this myself. I want to put a freezer in my shed... After research, it appears that BEKO are the only company that state their products are suitable for outbuildings. I'm sure you can get away with others, for example I have an Indesit fridge in a plastic storage cupboard in my garden, but BEKO to be on the safe side.
