Mission

How did I miss the whole book club this month?

I'll go and get the chosen book out of the library this week

Hello to all esp those having a tough day.

Jas Thanks for the thread.

Ruby Just wondering when my toddler group days ended. About 10 yrs ago I guess. Time flies!

luda You are still thin, woman! Well, I don't like the word thin so I'll use slim. Town was impossible today for parking and they are doing work on the pavement (I don't know how long the section is but it takes up umpteen car parking spaces) at the end of the prom furthest from town. Try to avoid going down there if you can. Sigh. Don't be bored - come here and sort me out instead!

Funky and BC - I've nicked your lists and put them in a word doc on my PC. I'm building up quite a collection of other peoples' routines! I haven't done any more on the control journal but we have had a busy and quite stressful fortnight. Hey, ho. It'll be better from now on hopefully but I can see how tired I am compared to before, already. Good news, though, I've had a good cleaner recommended to me so that'll help us with the extra work dh is doing now and for the foreseeable future. He will be away 3 nts this week, on top of working part of w/es for the last 2 w/es.

yadda I can sympathise. I hope it gets sorted soon.

Am home today due to dd being unwell. I've taken the day off as I'm lots of hours in credit. I did have to pop into work briefly this a.m. but that was it. Tomorrow will be a very busy day for me, though as it's my last working day of the week and I really don't want to have to go in on Thurs or Fri. Hey, ho. See you later or tomorrow or Thurs!

lol harley. Took me awhile to make sense of your haloween name

FGS - Feel free to moan a bit. Then I won't feel so bad with my constant whinging.
Or just swear loudly

Does anyone know what to do with a washing machine that smells like it has a dead rat in it?
I've cleaned the filter, and the soap tray (both disgusting) but it still smells. I now have it running on a cold wash with bleach in it. Any other ideas?

luda and Madhouse - I did read your posts - don't want you to think you are being ignored, sorry.
I hope insurance covers the damage Madhouse Luda Men! sigh. I'm finding that just ignoring dp is helping here. (That and threatening to leave and actually meaning it)

Have just caught up on posts: oh dear yaddah and madhouse .

Hope things are improving...

TheMadScaryHouse · 02/10/2007 18:36

I think some deep breathing and copious amounts of ones fav tipple should be added to everyones evening routine tonight. That will be a large sherry with ice for me then

I have left DH reading to the mini's and suck in to the kitchen for a cuppa. I plan a nice long bath whilst he tries again with the sofa - assesor is out tomorrow - quick

DS1 told daddy I have been a nauty boy today and I am sorry and that means I will not do it again.

Thanks everyone for bearing with me.

Jada I have it all on a workbook in excel with a sheet for each day and then one for each of the zones. DH thinks I am losing the plot, but I tols him this is my job - ha ha ha

Simply · 02/10/2007 19:17

Trying to keep this simple....in reverse order...

MadHouse I hope it all gets sorted for you. A workbook in excel, eh? I'm intrigued. No - really I am. I don't do sarcasm. I love systems. I said at my last interview that I love to set up and improve systems - and I have despite far too many people having mishaps and causing me extra work in work.

yadda Clearly your ds is destined to be ....... .......... ......... ..... ...... .... thinking, please keep quiet..... ..... ... an expert in. ...... .... strewth, what is that word again? ...... ..... CONFLICT RESOLUTION! Got it! Like that chap on Radio 2's Pause for thought. I can see him at his first interview now. "So yadda jr, why do you think you are suited to this field of work?" "Well, I used to have [insert friend's name here] over on a play date on a monthly basis and I managed to control his numerous temper tantrums whenever things weren't going his way." "Good gracious. I'd like to offer you the job immediately!"

Jas Very sorry to hear that. You know where I am if you want me.

harley I've beaten you to it! I've been pretending to be Funky today! Yes, sirree. I've been ironing as it is Tuesday and it says ironing on her list! Thanks to all for sharing lists. I'll be using them all to make my own.

Hello to everyone else.

Time to go and sort the beds out. I've recently discovered that I don't hate making beds, I just hate making them when bedtime was 5 mins before so now I try to do them earlier in the evening. Very obvious, I know!

I may be back as dh will be arriving home late tonight and I'll need some company!

yaddayah · 02/10/2007 19:26

Conflict resolution .. obviously not a career I'd be good at (was considering dangling him over the stairs by his ankles ! )Weirdly they both said they'd had a lovely time {nowt so strange as folk emoticon]

Can't quite believe it dc's have been asleep for 30 mins, everywhere clean and tidy

Ahhhh the wonderfull fly thread (pre this I would have just sat on the sofa ignoring the chaos)

Thanks for today chappies

Yadd x

yaddayah · 02/10/2007 19:27
