Just that really. I put a load of whites on this morning, all fine...smelled lovely with no issues. After taking them out I put another load on but this time it was blacks. As soon as the cycle started, there was a strange smell in the kitchen Confused but we didn't think much of it. The cycle finished, I opened the washing machine door and the entire load and drum smelled of rotten eggs.... I took it all out, cleaned and desinfected the entire washing machine door, seal, drum, filter, drawer..anything you can think of inside out. I put the load on again with extra softener thinking it will be fine. It just finished and it smells the same, like rotten eggs 🤢. Why could this be?? I clean my washing machine at least once a month inside out, including the filter and the door is NEVER close to avoid damp/mould. Could it be the pipes or something else? I don't know what to do 😭

Put a wash on with no washing in and run the system through with bleach. That's a quick fix.

I think a rotten egg smell can sometimes be a sign of an electrical fault. I would unplug your machine for tonight and get someone to look at it tomorrow.

I agreebeith @amymel2016 it can be the sign of an electrical fault. Unplug it and get an engineer in.
