Hi.

Thought I’d join here to get some advice if you all wouldn’t mind helping please?

So I’m not sure if this is the right place to post, but here it goes!

So I’m a guy, average size but sweat a little more than I should. The problem I have, is my work shirts and everyday t-shirts!

I got white hard marks under my armpits on my shirts, now they are just faded marks. Obviously it’s from sweat and deodorant. I’ve tried different deodorants and stuff to help me stop sweating and stop this problem on my shirts. They don’t come out in the wash, and they emit the sweat smell when I iron the sleeves, which then emits through out the day at work, despite been clean and wear deodorant!

Can anyone help and advise please on how to remove these stains and stop the smell emitting after ironing them!

Many thanks!

Jack

there's a Dr Beckmann spray for removing underarm stains. Do you use an anti white/yellow mark antiperspirant?

Try using bar soap in the shower too

and wash in bio powder if possible

I mean the shirts here, not yourself Grin

Soak shirt pits in vinegar before washing

You can do the above. Have you visited your GP, you can have a laser treatment for excessive sweating

Thank you for swift replies!

I went to the doctors years ago and they have me some tablets for it, but they use to make me drowsy, and I can’t risk that in my current job (bus driver).

I’ll try the vinegar hack when I put some washing on tomorrow. Me and my wife have just switched to Non-bio, so I’ll give it bio next time. I’ll also look out for the Dr Beckmann stuff too!

Thanks for swift replies again!

When you say 'deodorant' I'm presuming you mean 'anti-perspirant' too (I'm not being picky - it's just there is an important distinction!)

Have you tried Driclor? Worked for DS, who had terrible pit problems. Now he just needs it a couple of times a week and uses Mitchem in between.

This is the spray. Think I got it in morrisons
