How to clean these blinds?

Made the mistake of getting blinds with fabric strips and having cats. As a result the strips are starting to look greying and grubby.

Any ideas how to wash them? I thought about just hot soapy water but worried about water marks.

Can you take them down? I'd put them in a tepid bath with detergent and then rinse thoroughly.

@Wildwood6 They're very heavy and took a lot of effort (and shouting and bawling) to install them so I don't fancy taking them down!

Was thinking maybe some sort of laundry stick?

@JorisBonson There are specialist companies that will take them away and clean them. I wouldn't immerse them in water as the wood is likely to warp.

I've got these blinds, they're an absolute ball ache to keep clean.

Luckily I've only had to spot clean the fabric strips so I've just used warm soapy water, I would never try to get them down so not sure what to suggest, sorry I know that's no help I would try to sponge clean the best you can maybe?
