The kitchen drain stinks and it’s grossing me out. Any suggestions of what l can put down it? It is the drain rather than the plug hole

I'd prob try to neutralise it first with a bicarbonate of soda & vinegar mix. Then use zoflora overnight. Repeat the zoflora every few days to keep on top of it.

Thanks for that. I will give it a whirl

You really need to phone a professional drain cleaner who comes out and flushes the entire drain with a powerful water jet and a long bendy stick. Any cleaning products will only affect the first few feet of drain and ime won’t fix it.

Sofa crystals followed by boiling water.

Soda

I have used caustic soda. I put it in neat and leave for maybe an hour, longer if possible. Then I pour hot water (just a few minutes off the boil) from the kettle down it. It fizzes madly and then clears.

If something like that doesn't work then you may need a professional drain cleaner in, like Dynorod.

It might be coming from the drain so I would lift the cover and put jeyes fluid generously around it.
