Brass surround on fireplace.

Help please there is some badly "burned" bits on the brass surround on my fireplace.
Any tips please on how to remove it ?

If you watch Property Brothers (Channel 26 at 6 pm and 7 pm), they always paint over the brass bits on fire places, calling them "dated". They paint them black and usually renew the tile surround too, to match the kitchen backsplash!

It's a lovely marble fireplace.
I won't be painting over it

No, they certainly don’t paint over marble - just the brass bits!
