Has anyone used it? Is it as great as the ads say?

There's a thread on this - quite recent too. What I picked up is that the product is not much good but the scrubby things are. I won't use microfibre cloths because of the plastics, but a lot of people said that it's the cloths etc that work rather than what's in the bottle.

snaxinyourslacks · 25/07/2020 15:53

No it's not! I was taken in by the videos and reviews on Facebook but it's pretty much just water that's had some sort of treatment. As the pp said, the cloths and scrubby things are good but you can buy something similar from the pound shop.

That’s what I thought. I’ve got microfibre cloths and I find they clean really well anyway.

Yes! Holy hell its amazing. Here’s my before and after. I’m a lazy bitch and Never clean my oven. It was last cleaned early three years ago when o hit a man in. This took 10 mins of tiny effort

See that exactly what I want it to do. I’m a lazy cow who has let my oven get in a right state.

Well I just kept spraying and scrubbing with the scrubby thing. I used all the scrubby things. They were no good rinsing them out and using them again I had to keep using them fresh. I was astounded tbh

FlamingoAndJohn · 25/07/2020 17:34

Could it have been the quality of the scrubby thing rather than the actual cleaning spray?

I started using Koh last year and am a total convert. It’s excellent for floors, granite counters, the hob, extractor fans, showers, mirrors, walls, loos, just about everything. It even got old stains out of carpet. I haven’t had great success with the oven but apart from that I can’t fault it.

It’s slightly different to other cleaners in that it should always be used with a dry cloth If the cloth is wet the Koh won’t work. I use ecloths and probably get through 2 or 3 a day. Once I’ve accrued a small pile I put them through the washing machine. I’ve got an ecloth floormop and a collection of spare mop heads that also get washed after every use.

Since Covid I’ve started adding a capful of Zoflora to the Koh atomiser which means it sanitises as well as cleans. It cleans just as well as before and also smells lovely.

SecretSquirreI · 27/07/2020 22:19

No. I thought it was pretty shit. Much prefer the a Splosh stuff.

Quarantimespringclean · 27/07/2020 22:20

Incidentally it’s not water that’s been treated. It’s water with potassium added. Hence the name Koh which combines the chemical symbols for Potassium (K), Oxygen (O) and Hydrogen (H).

FlamingoAndJohn · 09/08/2020 17:34

Just in case anyone was interested I did get it and it did work!

I’m finding it’s leaving glass a little smeary but other than that I’m really happy with it.

I found it very disappointing.
The only way to get my oven door clean would have been with the diamond scrubber thing and that would scratch it.
It's hopeless at getting greasy surfaces clean.
I like the cloths but was seriously underwhelmed with the actual Koh.

Riddo · 10/08/2020 17:09

I think it's amazing. I use it with cotton dishcloths apart from really dirty jobs and everything cleans well and easily. I add a couple of drops of lavender oil as I like the scent.
