I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I need help....Any tips for getting rid of ants?

I've never had a problem with them before in my life but for some reason in the past month they've turned up all over my garden are just impervious to washing up liquid, beach, disinfectant, boiling water, nothing works. And now they're getting in to my house, I found one in my DC's bed this evening!!!!

In my garden I can just about cope with in large numbers, but not indoors, what do I do??

Why kill them? They are fascinating, industrious, useful and pretty harmless creatures really. If they are becoming a problem indoors it is probably because they are attracted by something sweet. Try putting a dish of sugar syrup or something similar outside for them to feed on and keep them occupied, as opposed to wanting to enter your house. No need to kill them whatsoever.

I was given Antstop Baitstation by my local hardware store after they were marching into my utility room and kitchen. It is safe with pets around, they said, and it did the job. They take the bait back into their nest. Had loads of the little marching creatures around the kitchen two weeks ago and now they have all gone.

Thanks all. I'll try the ant stop. They're taking over and seemingly impervious to boiling water... feeling massively overwhelmed by the little buggers.

Seconded. We were overwhelmed inside the house. In 6 hours since placing a single antstop bait station there were literally none. It was so effective I felt guilty.

I would also recommend antstop. We had ants getting into our kitchen, couldn’t find how they were getting in and no amount of cleaning the worktops stopped them. Placed an antstop bate station on the worktop and within two days they were gone!

Great recommendations! It's in the post.
